We welcome our new associate, David Shannon, to the Firm. Mr. Shannon will concentrate in the area of business aircraft transactions, with an emphasis on federal and state taxation and federal regulation of aircraft ownership and operations. Mr. Shannon received his J.D. from the University of Miami in 2004 and his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2001.
Steve Fellman and David Monroe are the co-author's of the Chapter on Antitrust Compliance in the Antitrust Advisor (4th Edition) published by the West Group. They have just completed revising their chapter for the 5th Edition of the Antitrust Advisor, due out shortly.
Steve Fellman serves as General Counsel of TAUC, the Association of Union Constructors. This association is one of the largest associations of union construction companies in the United States. This year Mr. Fellman received the Association's President Award in recognition of his long time service to the association.
Steve Fellman is the head of our firm's association practice group and was selected by the Association of Association Executives to Chair a program entitled "The Board Meeting From Hell" at this year's Annual Symposium on Association Law.
During the past year, Keith Swirsky has worked with members of the US Treasury and IRS in presenting private industry’s perspective on the new Entertainment Use Regulations, covering disallowance of tax deductions for recreational use of an employer provided aircraft and will testify at public hearings, on behalf of private industry. Mr. Swirsky has been the featured speaker at numerous aviation industry events, including notably all day seminars sponsored by Bank of America, Bombardier Aerospace Corporation and the National Business Aviation Association. The Business Aircraft Group has continued to grow and estimates that it conducts the most business aircraft jet transactions, of any firm, worldwide.
David Street writes featured columns on transportation matters for the Toy Shippers Association and the International Housewares Shippers Association newsletters. Columns cover legal issues, supply chain security, and political developments affecting international transportation.
