Fernando Pombo elected President of the IBA

At the International Bar Association Council on September the 20th in Chicago, the election of IBA officers took place and Mr. Fernando Pombo, Chairman and Founding Partner of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, was elected President for the 2007-2008 term of office. Fernando Pombo has been involved with the IBA for almost 25 years; having carried out the roles of Treasurer (2002-2003), Secretary-General (2003-2004) and Vice-President (2005-2006). It is the first time that the position of head of the IBA has been held by a Spanish Lawyer.
