Leading Interlaw member firm AKD in the Netherlands has expanded its international tax and structuring practice, with the appointment of two new tax partners, Myrthe Görtzen and Robert Jean Kloprogge, signalling further growth for the firm. AKD recently appointed tax lawyer, Hans Galavazi who also joined as a partner.

The hires come at a time when the international tax landscape is changing at a fast pace due to the OECD and EU initiatives aimed at combatting aggressive tax planning and harmonising international tax rules. “The strengthening and expansion of our tax practice in the Netherlands allows us to meet the increased demand for specialist and integrated corporate and tax advice,” says AKD’s managing partner Erwin Rademakers. “It means we’ll be able to further help clients to navigate through the changing international tax landscape.”
