Interlaw Advises on Bolivia's Largest Ever Joint Public Private Investment

Interlaw's strategic partners Moreno Baldivieso in Bolivia and ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN in Germany, have advised on the largest joint public private investment in Bolivian history.

Both firms advised German client ACI Systems Alemania GmbH on a mixed public private enterprise incorporated for the purpose of industrializing Bolivia´s lithium reserves located in the Uyuni Salt Flats. The project, will execute a USD2 billion investment over the next five years.

Moreno Baldivieso and ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN represented ACI Systems in the contractual negotiations and incorporation of the mixed public private enterprise that will operate the lithium project in Bolivian territory. 

The signing ceremony took place in Berlin in December 2018. The State of Bolivia was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Diego Pary) and ACI Systems Alemania GmbH by its CEO (Wolfgang Schmutz).
