Jeffer Mangels Butler and Mitchell (JMBM), Interlaw’s strategic partner in Los Angeles, has announced that white collar defense attorney Vince Farhat has joined the Firm as Partner and Chair of the White Collar Defense & Investigations practice. Farhat joins JMBM from Holland & Knight where he represented clients in internal, government and parallel investigations. Prior to joining Holland & Knight he served as an assistant United States attorney in the Major Frauds Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.

“Vince’s experience on both sides of corporate investigations and his ability to expertly navigate complex cases will be an excellent resource for our clients,” said Robert Mangels, chair of JMBM’s Litigation Department. “I am delighted to welcome him to the Firm.”

Farhat’s practice focuses on representing companies and individuals in criminal and civil investigations and prosecutions by government enforcement agencies, as well as complex federal litigation. He also advises companies and tribal clients in connection with complex and sensitive internal investigations.

“JMBM is a nationally recognized firm committed to providing excellent client service,” said Farhat. “Their focus on achieving clients’ business objectives makes them a good fit for my practice.”

Farhat received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, his B.A. from American University and his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edward Rafeedie, U.S. District Court Judge for the Central District of California.  Farhat also works as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School where he teaches white collar and healthcare law.
