Interlaw’s member firm in Scotland, Morton Fraser, has won Curtis Banks, the UK’s largest provider of self-invested personal pensions (SIPP) as a new client.

This latest appointment for Morton Fraser follows the firm’s selection to the SIPP panel for Rowanmoor, part of the Embark Group, in April this year.

Morton Fraser’s dedicated Property in Pensions Team is the largest of its kind in Scotland and provides legal advice to numerous pension providers across the UK. It is also the only Scottish independent law firm member of the Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes.

Fergus McDiarmid, Partner and Property in Pensions Team Lead at Morton Fraser, said: “Curtis Banks is a major player in SIPP real estate provision so we’re thrilled to secure this appointment. This latest success for our team further demonstrates our leading capabilities for providing SIPP and pensions real estate advice in Scotland for highly respected UK-wide firms.

“There has been significant growth in demand for these specialist services in recent times and our team, based in Glasgow and Edinburgh, has over 15 years’ experience in the pensions real estate market, providing the industry with clarity and expert commercial judgement.”

Morton Fraser’s other clients include BAA (now Heathrow Airport Holdings), Diageo, Royal Mail Group, The Ministry of Defence, Transport Scotland, Tesco and Scottish Canals.
