Dominique Blommaert heads the banking and finance department at Janson, advising financial institutions on banking and financial law.

He is a recognized expert in credit law, including consumer and mortgage credit law. He advises on the legal aspects of the creation of new financial and banking products, asset management, finance structures (often related to collaterals) and relating contractual aspects.

His department regularly publishes articles on these topics. Dominique has been recognized in global publications for his expertise in banking and finance, litigation, arbitration and insolvency.

He graduated in law in 1988 and in history in 1987 from the University of Leuven and obtained a degree in economic law from the University of Brussels in 1989. He is scientific collaborator of the Financial Law Institute at the Ghent University since 1990.
