Interlaw has appointed Antonella Terranova, managing partner at De Berti Jacchia Franchini Forlani in Rome, as its new chair of the EMEA region.

Antonella has most recently served as global chair of the network’s competition and distribution team, and takes over from John O’Sullivan from AMOSS LLP in Ireland, who spent five years in the role.

A highly regarded administrative and antitrust lawyer, Antonella is a member of the Italian Society of Administrative Lawyers and of the AAI (the Italian Antitrust Association) and has extensive experience in litigating before the highest domestic and European Courts. She joins new global chair Michael Pattinson on the Interlaw Board of Directors, where she will be responsible for driving the growth of the network across the EMEA region.

Commenting on her appointment, Antonella says:

“In my role as global chair of Interlaw’s competition and distribution team, I have seen first-hand the breadth and depth of expertise we have across our network. It has also been a pleasure to work with John during his tenure, which has seen Interlaw recognized as an elite network in the region by Chambers and Partners each year.

“I look forward to working alongside Michael and the rest of the Interlaw Board of Directors as we continue our ambitious growth plans.”

Interlaw’s Global Chair, Michael Pattinson adds:

“Antonella is a fantastic ambassador for Interlaw, and during her time as the global lead of our competition team, she has seen it go from strength to strength. She epitomizes our ethos of collaboration and connection and will be a valued member of our senior leadership team as we enter the next phase of our evolution.”
