Interlaw’s Indian Partner Firm Advises on Several Major Transactions
Interlaw’s partner firm in India, L&L Partners, has advised on several major deals, cementing its banking and finance and M&A practices as market leaders in the country.
Lawyers from L&L’s M&A team acted for iSelect Limited, an Australian Stock Exchange listed online financial product comparison company, on its acquisition of 49% share in CIMET Holdings Pty Limited and Vconnex Private Limited in a transaction worth AUD 26.6 million (c. USD 19.25 million).
In addition, the firm’s banking and finance team advised Aditya Birla Finance Limited in connection with financial assistance of INR 115,00,00,000 to Ashford Properties Private Limited, a subsidiary of Interglobe Hotels Private Limited, for the purpose of financing the development of the 206 unit 'ibis' hotel in Kalina, Mumbai.
It also advised SWAMIH Fund, which is providing financial assistance to Ramprastha Promoters and Developers Private Limited by way of subscription to the non-convertible debentures issued by the Issuer in various Series, for part-financing the cost of construction of group housing projects in Haryana, India.
