Interlaw’s Norway Partner Advises in Copyright Litigation Case
Interlaw’s partner firm in Norway, Haavind, has successfully represented client, Nordic Entertainment Group (Nent) in litigation proceedings in relation to an online news platform’s use of short extracts of its coverage of sporting events.
The judgement from Oslo District Court found in favour of Nent, awarding the company both compensation and legal costs, providing further guidance for market operators on the concept of “events of high interest to the public” in relation to Norwegian copyright law.
