Interlaw has appointed Clémence Lemétais d'Ormesson, partner at UGGC Avocats in France, as the new head of its EMEA arbitration and ADR practice.

Clémence, who has been with UGGC since 2007, is a highly experienced operator, who assists clients before civil and commercial courts in the implementation of pre-litigation and litigation strategies, in particular in disputes related to the performance or termination of contracts, shareholder disputes, pre and post-acquisition disputes and, more generally, in business litigation.

She also acts as counsel and arbitrator in commercial arbitration proceedings, both domestically and internationally.

Commenting on the news, Michael Bösch, Global chair of Interlaw’s Arbitration and ADR practice, said:

“We are fortunate to have an individual of Clemence’s expertise leading this important practice area across the EMEA region, particularly at a time when companies are increasingly looking to arbitration as their preferred method of dispute resolution. She brings a wealth of international litigation experience to the table and underlines our network’s stellar credentials in the field of arbitration and ADR.”

Senior lawyers from Interlaw’s arbitration and alternative dispute resolution team are at the forefront of this field of law, serving on permanent panels of arbitrators or mediators, speaking at universities and professional meetings, as well as providing guidance on international standards and expectations.
