Matthew Orange, an associate at Fortune Manning, Interlaw’s partner firm in New Zealand, has been named as a 2025 Future Legal Leader by NZ Lawyer magazine.

NZ Lawyer noted Matthew for being one of the country’s few specialist transport lawyers, as well as for his extensive work on commercial disputes and increasing role in shaping litigation strategy at Fortune Manning.

He frequently represents clients in a variety of courts and tribunals, as well as in mediations and arbitrations, dealing with issues in contract, equity, property and public law. More recently, Matthew’s practice has taken on an increasingly international dimension, acting for clients based in Taiwan, Pakistan, and Fiji. He first joined Fortune Manning in 2016 and rejoined in 2023 as an associate.

Partner Shafraz Khan said, "We are extremely proud of Matthew's recognition as a Future Legal Leader, demonstrating his expertise and rising profile in the industry, and the level of talent at our firm. Fortune Manning works hard to support and encourage all our attorneys to excel. This recognition encourages us to continue to shape the future of New Zealand's legal market."
