Interlaw has retained its position as a Band 1, elite global law firm network in the latest edition of the highly-respected Chambers & Partners Latin America guide.

During 2024, Interlaw expanded its presence across the region with the appointment of a new partner firm in Paraguay, Peroni Sosa Tellechea Burt & Narvaja (PSTBN), bringing its total lawyers across the region to over 1000. The addition of PSTBN added to Interlaw’s already comprehensive presence across Latin America, where it services clients across multiple jurisdictions and in a variety of practice areas.

Over the last 12 months, the elite network also appointed Leandro H. Cáceres, senior partner at Brons & Salas Abogados, its firm in Argentina, to its board of directors.

The 2025 edition of the Chambers & Partners guide ranks the top lawyers and legal service providers in Latin America, based on thousands of in-depth interviews and extensive research. It noted Interlaw’s “impressive roster of lawyers,” “top-tier service,” “innovative use of technology,” “a seamless stream of work across the network” and Interlaw’s commitment to quality control with its’ “diligent vetting process and thorough performance monitoring.

Neftalí Garro, Interlaw’s Latin America Chair, said:

“Interlaw has continued to expand across Latin America, recognizing it as a strategically important region to its future growth. We now have a presence in the majority of countries in the region, delivering high quality work and best-in-class service for clients both in-region and internationally.

“To once again achieve the top ranking by Chambers & Partners is a worthy recognition of the talent, hard work and expertise we have across Latin America.”

Chambers & Partners determines its rankings by assessing several areas, which include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness, diligence and commitment to quality. Under its criteria, a strong law firm network positions itself as a cost-effective alternative to an international law firm with many international branches. The guide also says that, if effective, the network should help members generate cross-referral work, and that clients should benefit from unified solutions when work crosses borders.
