Interlaw's strategic partner firm in Melbourne, Australia, Hunt & Hunt Lawyers, has appointed Catherine Ballantyne as litigation team leader, reinforcing the firm’s capability in complex disputes and commercial litigation.

Catherine brings more than 20 years of experience in high-value commercial litigation and insolvency matters, advising corporates, directors and high-net-worth individuals across a wide range of disputes.

Her practice includes contractual and trust disputes, defamation, and both personal and corporate insolvency, with a focus on strategic, commercially grounded outcomes. In her new role, Catherine will help guide the continued growth of Hunt & Hunt’s litigation practice, supporting clients facing complex disputes involving financial exposure, asset protection and director or shareholder conflicts.

Managing principal Tony Raunic said, "Catherine understands how complex disputes really unfold — commercially, strategically and personally. Her attentive and empathetic style, combined with her single-minded approach to delivering outstanding outcomes, has made her a trusted adviser for clients facing disputes and contested proceedings."

Her appointment reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to providing practical, strategic and client-focused dispute resolution services.
