Deanna L. Koestel, a partner at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden, Interlaw’s firm in New Jersey, United States, has been appointed to the network’s board of directors. 

A highly accomplished attorney specializing in commercial litigation, construction law, and general business law matters, Deanna is chair of the firm's construction law practice and a partner in the commercial litigation practice. She is also a member of the firm’s executive committee. 

At Interlaw, Deanna is global chair of the network’s Diversity, Inclusion and Community affinity group, leading Interlaw’s diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility initiatives, overseeing the network’s commitment to supporting cultural diversity and the advancement of all lawyers in the network irrespective of race, gender, disability, or religion. 

She also serves as North America chair for the Women of Interlaw Network (WIN) affinity group and spearheaded a successful inaugural North America WIN Meeting held in New York City in September 2025, which brought together female lawyers from across the region and beyond to discuss leading with resilience, sustaining motivation, and navigating the challenges of modern leadership with confidence.
