Jie Lian, partner at Zhonglun W&D, Interlaw’s partner firm in China, has been appointed at the new Asia Pacific chair of the global network’s competition and distribution special business team.

As a dual U.S. and PRC-licensed attorney, Jie has extensive knowledge of both common and civil law legal systems, and has helped clients to assess, prevent, and mitigate unconventional legal risks faced by entities with cross-border operations. Jie has successfully conducted dispute cases involving complex legal issues in areas including commercial fraud, intellectual property, trade secrets, international trade, contract, cybersecurity, product liability, and insurance. He is particularly experienced in handling cross-border disputes where unique jurisdiction, discovery, conflicting local law, and case management concerns are involved.

In his new role, Jie will collaborate with the global and regional chairs of Interlaw’s competition and distribution special business team to identify and strengthen the network’s work in this area.
