Interlaw’s representative firm in New York, Pryor Cashman, has been voted the number one mid-sized law firm in New York by leading publisher Vault.

With 175 attorneys, the full-service firm was recognized by Vault for its collegiality, BigLaw-quality work product and partners who work with associates on a substantive level.

“We don’t practice law to win awards, but this recognition from our professional colleagues is one to savor,” said Ronald Shechtman, Pryor Cashman’s managing partner. “The combination of top talent and the efficiency and economy we offer our clients has always differentiated us. We are proud to be recognized for who we are.”

To determine the rankings, Vault asked associates who practice in New York at firms of all sizes to vote for the top mid-sized firms. Associates could nominate up to three firms, but were not permitted to vote for their own firms. The firms were then ranked by the total percentage of votes received.

Meanwhile, Pryor Cashman’s corporate group has experienced a very buoyant first half of 2018, advising clients on numerous M&A deals, strategic partnerships, public and private securities offerings and a variety of investment transactions.

Deals handled by the firm included advising TriSpan Rising Stars LP, an independent and management-controlled private equity platform, on the acquisition of New York-based restaurant chain Rosa Mexicano from Goode Partners LLC as well as representing BC Hospitality Group Inc, the owner of a plant-based casual dining chain, by Chloe, in the sale of Series A preferred stock to a group of investors led by Bain Capital and Kitchen Fund LP.
