Interlaw Mourns the Passing of Chief Operating Officer Imogen Lee

It is with profound sadness that Interlaw announces the passing of our much-loved colleague and friend, Imogen Lee, Chief Operating Officer of the network, following a recent cancer diagnosis.
Imogen joined Interlaw in 2015, bringing with her extensive experience in international marketing, communications and business development, including 14 years at leading international law firm Eversheds (now Eversheds Sutherland), where many of her closest and longest working relationships began. Over the following 11 years, she became an integral part of Interlaw's leadership, helping to shape the network's growth, strategic direction and development into the global organisation it is today.
In 2025 she became the network’s Chief Operating Officer, working closely with Interlaw's Board of Directors to shape the network’s strategy and direction. Imogen provided leadership and guidance across every aspect of the network's operations, from scouting and onboarding new member firms, leading client and business development activities, to governance, communications and organizing regional and global meetings. She led a close-knit team spanning multiple jurisdictions and cultures, bringing people together with a shared commitment to supporting Interlaw's member firms and their clients.
Beyond her considerable professional achievements, Imogen will be remembered for her warmth, humour, generosity and unwavering commitment to the people around her. She had an extraordinary ability to build relationships, make connections and bring people together, qualities that reflect the very spirit of Interlaw.
For many across the network, Imogen was far more than a colleague. She was a trusted adviser, a familiar and welcoming presence at our meetings, and a dear friend. Her energy, enthusiasm and genuine interest in others helped foster the strong personal relationships that distinguish the Interlaw community.
At this difficult time, the Interlaw Board of Directors and staff extend their deepest condolences and warmest wishes to Imogen's two daughters, and to her family and loved ones.
