Interlaw has announced the appointment of Stefan Bais, partner at AKD, its partner firm in the Netherlands, as Global Chair of its M&A special business team.

Stefan is a partner and attorney-at-law at AKD and specializes in corporate law, with a focus on M&A. He advises clients on corporate restructurings, transfer-pricing projects, joint ventures and corporate governance, acting on behalf of medium-sized and large businesses at both a local and international level.   

As Chair of Interlaw’s M&A special business team, he is responsible for the growth of shared client work across the network, as well as enhancing Interlaw’s offering to its partner firms and clients.   

With considerable experience in a variety of M&A matters, including tender offers, stock and asset acquisitions, corporate restructurings, spin-offs, recapitalizations and other deal structures, Interlaw’s M&A team advises clients across a broad range of sectors including aerospace and defense, communications, consumer products, e-commerce, energy, financial services, insurance, industrials and technology.
