Sandra brings more than four decades of experience, with particular expertise in infrastructure projects and their financing. She has also been instrumental in advancing the work of the Fabián Ponce Ordóñez Foundation and has played a leading role in professional associations and corporate responsibility initiatives.

In Chambers and Partners' 2026 Latin America guide, Sandra was recognized as a “distinguished partner” and “highly sought after by key players from the infrastructure and energy sectors for her outstanding track record advising on sophisticated negotiations.”

Sandra also serves as Latin America chair for Interlaw’s mergers and acquisitions special business team, working with our strategic partner firms around the world to provide clients with seamless and integrated relationship-led M&A support.

Juan Gabriel leads Pérez Bustamante & Ponce’s tax and family office practices while also serving as a professor at the Law School of Universidad San Francisco de Quito. He currently holds the position of President of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Tax Commission – Ecuador Chapter.

The 2026 edition of Chambers and Partners’ Latin America guide describes him as a “revered partner” and “the first port of call in the Ecuadorian tax market for complex matters involving tax planning and structuring,” ranking him in the top band of tax professionals in the country.
