Verrill, Interlaw’s partner firm in Massachusetts and Maine, in the United States, has announced that Jay McCormack has joined the firm as a partner in its healthcare and life sciences, and white-collar defense & government enforcement groups. 

Jay brings more than 15 years of distinguished experience as a federal and state prosecutor, most recently serving as acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Hampshire. His practice focuses on defending individuals and organizations in criminal, civil, and administrative investigations and enforcement actions. 

With deep experience in the health care sector, Jay handles matters involving the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, billing and privacy issues, unlawful prescribing, and civil Controlled Substances Act violations. He also represents clients facing allegations of fraud, money laundering, and export and trade control violations, including cases related to COVID-19 relief programs such as paycheck protection program (PPP) and economic injury disaster loans (EIDL).
