Interlaw’s partner firm in Bulgaria, Eurolex Bulgaria - Andrey Delchev and Partners Legal Office, has joined the Bulgarian Diversity Charter, reaffirming the company's commitment to respect and promote equal treatment and non-discrimination in human resource management.

The Diversity Charter is a joint initiative of the Center for the Study of Democracy and the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) that promotes diversity management across the country.    The Charter expresses the shared conviction of the signatories that diversity is not only a key factor for creativity, innovation, growth and productivity, but also a personal motive for employees to improve their knowledge, competencies, talents and skills.

Its main principles are to build and maintain a culture of mutual respect by introducing and enforcing ethical rules for employees that prohibit all forms of discriminatory behaviour in the workplace and raise public awareness and education on diversity issues through the presentation and public exchange of information on policies and practices.

Commenting on the move, managing partner at the firm, Andrey Delchev, says:

“We firmly believe that our good example will contribute to positive social change in Bulgaria and beyond and will help to strengthen the principle of tolerance to difference.”
