Interlaw’s Indian Partner Firm Acts on Solar Power Refinancing Deal
L&L Partners, Interlaw’s partner firm in India, has acted as lenders legal counsel for the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) in relation to the refinancing of nine separate solar power projects.
The projects are based in the states of Punjab and Telangana under six project company subsidiaries of Vector Green Energy Private Limited.
Under the deal, IREDA disbursed a loan amount of Rs 1100 crores to a single promoter, the highest ever such amount paid in one day.
The deal was led by the firm’s partner, Karan Mitroo, who was assisted by associates Surbhi Jain, Abhishek Wadiyar and Aditya Bhayal.
