CNPLaw, Interlaw’s partner firm in Singapore, has announced the addition of Dr. William Wan, Justice of the Peace, to its partnership.

Dr. Wan brings with him more than five decades of distinguished legal and leadership experience spanning law, mediation, academia, and public service. Called to the bar in 1973, he has built a remarkable career as a respected lawyer, certified mediator, and community leader, contributing extensively to both the legal profession and civil society.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Wan spent 25 years abroad in academic, community, and church leadership roles before returning to private practice with a leading regional firm. He later assumed a senior corporate position with an American psychometric corporation, and most recently served as general secretary of the Singapore Kindness Movement for 13 years, a role in which he became a prominent advocate for empathy, civic engagement, and social harmony in the country.

In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Wan has received numerous accolades, including the Ontario Solicitor-General Award, Canada and the President’s Volunteerism and Philanthropy Award, Singapore. An accomplished author of 14 books exploring values, leadership, and social cohesion, he has also been a three-time TEDx speaker and a guest lecturer at leading institutions such as Nanyang Technolgical University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Social Sciences, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies.
