Interlaw’s Toronto Partner Firm Receives Top Award for Diversity and Inclusion
Aird & Berlis, Interlaw’s partner firm in Toronto, Canada, has received the Diversity and Inclusion: Outstanding Firm Award for all of Canada from Chambers Global.
The award recognizes the work the firm carried out throughout 2021, which saw it expand its internal D&I activities and professional development objectives by formalizing its ABDI Educational Curriculum. The curriculum’s objective is to make D&I top-of-mind throughout the firm with the use of an enhanced education and training program, complemented by year-round internal and external initiatives. Many of the events were organized and presented by firm employees with different lived experiences as members of historically underrepresented groups.
Andrea Skinner, Partner and Diversity and Inclusion Committee Chair, as well as Bryan Jones, Senior Manager, Marketing and Diversity and Inclusion Committee Co-Vice Chair, were in attendance to receive the award on behalf of the firm. The D&I committee also includes Ari Blicker, Neil Guthrie, Aaron Bains, Jack Goslett, Pamela Miehls, Georgia Rennick, Tony Sabeta, Anthony Teixeira and Hansen Wong.
