LIN, Interlaw's partner firm in Korea, has been named one of four winners at Asia Business Law Journal’s Korea Law Firm Awards 2025 in both the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Patent Litigation categories, acknowledging the firm’s advanced legal expertise in emerging technology and intellectual property protection.

The firm launched its AI Industry Centre in December 2024 to advise AI companies on global compliance and regulatory matters. A key member of the centre is Tae Eon Koo, who was commended for “leading AI-focused legal solutions by combining a deep understanding of AI with legally sound and persuasive approaches. This award represents a well-deserved recognition of the team’s expertise and innovative approach.”

In addition to its AI practice, LIN was also named a winner in the Patent Litigation category. The firm is currently representing Autoliv, a Sweden-based global supplier of automotive safety systems, in a closely watched airbag patent dispute against Hyundai Mobis, a case expected to help reduce uncertainty within the country's important automotive parts sector.
