Rajiv K Luthra, the founder and managing partner of L&L Partners, Interlaw's representative in India, has been appointed as a member to the High Level Advisory Group (HLAG) constituted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, Government of India.

The HLAG will assess the global environment and make recommendations for boosting India’s share and importance in global merchandise and services trade, managing pressing bilateral trade relations, and mainstreaming new age policy making.

Rajiv is the only private practice leading lawyer invited to be a part of the prestigious committee. He contributed chapters on electronics manufacturing, financial sector reforms and KYC regulations to name a few. The Final Report was released by the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal on Oct 30, 2019 in New Delhi.

Separately, L&L's senior partner, H. S. Bobby Chandhoke, has been recognized as one of India’s ‘Top 15 Dispute Lawyers 2019’, by Thomson Reuters’ Asian Legal Business (ALB). In its first annual list of India’s best disputes lawyers, ALB India spotlights 15 top practitioners on the basis of their high-profile cases, clients’ recommendations and feedback from the market.

Meanwhile, corporate partner, Vaibhav Kakkar was recognized by ALB in its 5th Annual list of Asia’s 40 lawyers under the age of 40. The ALB ‘40 under 40’ list recognises outstanding legal professionals in Asia who have worked on some of the most significant deals and have earned accolades from their clients and peers.
