Zoraida Liang, a partner at Zhonglun W&D Law Firm, Interlaw’s partner firm in China, has been awarded the Young Lawyer of the Year: South China and Central China (Local) award at the 2024 Asian Legal Business China Regional Law Awards. The award was presented at a ceremony held on December 6, 2024, in Shenzhen, China.

Asian Legal Business (ALB), a leading legal publication by Thomson Reuters, is globally recognized for its annual lists of top law firms, legal teams, and individual lawyers. The 2024 ALB China Regional Legal Awards for South and Central China received over 760 nominations, celebrating outstanding achievements across the region's legal market.   

Zoraida was recognized for her exceptional provision of foreign legal services, particularly in relation to her Spanish language legal practice. With extensive expertise in cross-border legal matters, she has been pivotal in delivering comprehensive legal support to Spanish-speaking clients investing in China and Chinese clients expanding into Spanish-speaking regions. Zoraida possesses extensive practical experience in international trade, cross-border investments, and dispute resolution.   

Commenting on the award, Zoraida said, "Looking ahead, we will continue to invest in the development of our foreign-related legal practice, enhance the professional capabilities of our team, and actively contribute to the evolution of international legal frameworks".    

Zoraida further expressed her commitment to supporting the diversification and internationalization of legal services offered in China, while strengthening legal support for Chinese enterprises expanding internationally.
