Partner at Interlaw’s French Firm Elected President of the AFEC
Michel Ponsard, partner at UGGC Avocats, Interlaw’s firm in France, has been elected as the new president of the Association Française d'étude de la Concurrence (AFEC).
Michel was appointed following the organization’s General Assembly, in recognition of this expertise in competition law and his long-standing commitment to the AFEC, which includes serving as vice-president. He was also secretary general of the LIDC -International League of Competition Law, has written on French law in the IBA antitrust newsletter and is lecturer at Versailles Saint-Quentin University.
As one of the partners who leads the UGGC competition law practice, he advises French and international clients in sectors including automotive, pharmaceutical, retail distribution, publishing and media, real estate, and transport.
The AFEC is a leading organization that plays a crucial role in the study and development of competition law.
