Trowers & Hamlins, Interlaw’s partner firm in England and Wales, the UAE, Oman and Bahrain, has advised leading baby and child personal care brand, Childs Farm, on its sale to FTSE 250 consumer goods business PZ Cussons.

The deal sees PZ Cussons, the company behind Imperial Leather, Carex and Original Source, acquire 100 percent of the share capital of Childs Farms holding Company, Tadley.

Childs Farm founder, Joanna Jensen, has subsequently made an investment into the PZ Cussons subsidiary which completed the acquisition, meaning that PZ now holds circa 92 per cent interest in Childs Farm for a total consideration of £36.8m.

Trowers advised the selling shareholders on the transactional documents for the sale of the Childs Farm business and Joanna Jensen on her subsequent investment into the buyer group.

Head of Corporate at Trowers & Hamlins, Tim Nye commented:

"We are pleased to have helped complete the sale of Childs Farm to PZ Cussons in a deal that is highly beneficial for all parties involved and will enable the brand to further establish itself as the UK market leader in baby and child personal care, as well providing a platform for the business to implement its growth strategy in other key geographies."

The transaction was led by Tim Nye and Alison Chivers with support from Jenny Robinson and Rachael Hershman.
