I was motivated to become a lawyer as I always wanted a career where I could act as a ‘protector’ for my family and friends. Training as a responsible lawyer meant I could protect the legal rights of those I care about – my friends, family, and now my clients!

As a commercial dispute resolution lawyer, I have over 20 years’ experience in both civil and criminal matters, spanning arbitration and construction, internet fraud and shareholder disputes.  During this time, I have been lucky enough to have many career highlights, while always keeping in mind the best piece of advice I was given – “… the life of a responsible lawyer is not easy at all. But the beauty to be found inside is more than you can imagine.”

I’m now at the point in my career where I want to dedicate more time to sharing my experiences with the next generation - particularly mentoring young female lawyers who may have had a difficult path to realizing their career ambitions. For female lawyers in particular, it is important to support each other so we can achieve the balance between family and career. Only by nurturing the next generation of talent can we secure the future of the legal system in Hong Kong.
